Matte and satin chrome vinyl wrap
Metal with a soft haze: matte and satin chrome have the colour of chrome without the mirror effect. They look luxurious, almost like a concept car, and day to day they are far less demanding than mirror chrome: easier to apply, they take a bit of heat and small marks show less. That's why they are a popular choice for a full wrap.

Matte chrome
Metal with a matte finish and no shine at all: silver, champagne, brushed gold, orange and red.
Satin chrome
A silky sheen between matte and gloss that brings out the lines of the body: steel grey, anthracite, gunmetal and earth brown.
For a full wrap
A hatchback needs about 15 metres of the 152 cm roll, an SUV a bit more. Just details: roof 2 m, bonnet 1.5 to 2 m, wing mirrors 50 cm. Wrap each part in one piece and in the same roll direction, so the colour looks even all over the car.
Aftercare
Wash by hand with a neutral soap. No wax, no shine sprays and no polishing: they leave glossy patches on matte and satin film. If you do want the mirror effect, go for chrome vinyl.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between matte and satin?
Matte has no shine at all; satin has a soft, silky sheen that brings out the lines of the body.
Is it hard to apply?
Much easier than mirror chrome. You can heat it on curves, but do not overstretch it, so the colour stays even.
Is it suitable for a full wrap?
Yes, it is one of the most popular finishes for a full wrap. Allow about 15 metres for a hatchback.
Does satin scratch easily?
It copes well with everyday use, and marks show less than on mirror chrome. Apply it with a felt-edged squeegee and wash by hand.
