Bumper and side skirt wrap

The side skirts, sills, front lip and lower bumpers are areas that take stones and scuffs. Wrapping them in carbon or gloss black gives a sporty look and protects the paint at the same time. Full bumpers are the hardest part of the car because of their curves, so if you're doing a full car wrap, leave them until last.

Most common parts

  • Side skirts and sills: carbon or black, to match the wing mirrors.
  • Front lip and diffuser: carbon or forged carbon.
  • Wheel arches: matte black for an off-road look.

How much do you need?

  • Side skirts (both): 1 m (cut strips along the 152 cm width), or 2 m on long cars.
  • Lip and diffuser: 50 cm.
  • Full bumper: 1.5 to 2 m each.

Tips

Bumpers have concave and convex curves: warm the film, stretch it little by little and don't force it more than necessary into recessed areas, or over time it will try to pull back. On the lower edges, fold the film well inwards.

Frequently asked questions

Can I wrap a whole bumper?

Yes, but it's the hardest part of the car. It takes heat, patience and not overstretching the recessed areas. If it's your first time, start with flatter parts.

Does vinyl protect side skirts from stones?

It protects against scuffs and small stones. For heavy-duty protection there's clear paint protection film (PPF), which we don't sell at the moment.

How much do I need for the side skirts?

A 1 m length gives you two strips 152 cm long, enough for the side skirts of many cars. For long cars or SUVs, 2 m.

Which finish looks best?

Carbon is the classic on skirts, lips and diffusers. Gloss black is more understated and elegant.
