Wheel and brake caliper paint
A new colour on your wheels and calipers is one of the most visible changes you can make to a car, and one of the cheapest. With the spray wheel paint kit you can paint all four wheels in an hour, and the high-temperature paint adds colour to your brake calipers and exhaust.

Spray paint or liquid wrap?
For wheels we recommend spray paint with a clear coat rather than liquid wrap: the finish is smoother and tougher, it copes better with brake dust and car washes, and it doesn't peel over time. The kit includes the paint and the clear coat, so you need nothing else.
Which colour?
- Classic: black, anthracite, gunmetal or aluminium, in gloss or matte.
- For contrast: gold, white or pearl, which look great on a black or dark car.
- Racing: red, blue or the fluo colours (yellow, green, blue, orange and red).
- Calipers: red, yellow or blue behind black or silver wheels.
How to paint
Clean and degrease the part thoroughly, mask off everything that shouldn't be painted with tape and paper, and spray thin coats from about 25 cm away. Finish the wheels with the clear coat. On calipers, leave each coat to dry for 24 hours. If you're wrapping the car too, match the wheels to the colour of the roof or the carbon details.
Frequently asked questions
How many wheels does one kit cover?
Four car wheels up to about 18 inches. The kit has two spray cans of colour and one of clear coat.
Do I need to take the wheels off?
It is easiest that way, but you can also paint with the wheel on the car if you mask off the tyre, valve and brake well with tape and paper.
Will the caliper paint stand up to the heat of the brakes?
Yes. The high-temperature paint withstands up to 800 °C, far more than calipers and exhausts reach in normal driving, and it does not discolour or peel.
Can the paint be removed from the wheels?
Yes, with paint stripper or by sanding, like any paint. If you want a change to the bodywork that is easy to undo, vinyl is the better choice.
