Vinyl for tables, desks and worktops

A scratched or dated table top can be refreshed with vinyl in an afternoon. Our 152 cm wide roll covers most tables and desks in one piece, with no joins in the middle of the top. For tables and desks, wood grain, matte white and matte black; for an industrial touch, cement grey or aluminium.

Tables and desks

Clean the top and sand it lightly if it's glossy. Apply from one side with a squeegee, fold the edges under the top and trim. For office desks, see our offices page too.

Worktops

It works on laminate or melamine worktops. Avoid the hob area and don't put hot pans straight on it: vinyl isn't resistant to direct heat. Ideal for worktops in coffee areas, bathrooms or utility rooms.

How much do you need?

Measure the length of the top and add 10 cm for the edges. If the top is less than 140 cm deep, it fits across the width of the roll. A typical dining table, 2 m.

Can I put vinyl on a kitchen worktop?

On laminate worktops, yes, but not next to the hob or for putting hot things on. For areas without heat, such as a utility room, it's ideal.

Does it resist scratches?

It copes with normal use. On heavily used work tables, a patterned vinyl such as wood grain hides marks better.

How much vinyl do I need for a table?

Measure the length and add 10 cm. A typical dining table fits in 2 m.

Can it be removed?

Yes, with heat it comes off without damaging the top.
